Go beyond outrage – fight for change!

Lobby day: 11:00-17:00
Event in the Attlee Suite: 14:00-17:00
We want hundreds of social care workers, providers and those who draw on social care to gather in Westminster to lobby MPs and Peers on Tuesday 19th July. We hope you can join us.
The FSCC SOCIAL CARE LOBBY DAY will highlight the lack of capacity in the social care system and the fact that, even before the pandemic and the cost of living crisis hit, there were circa 110,000 vacancies in social care and now the gap is even deeper. NaCSILS focuses on adult social care, but we felt this news item had to be shared, because the same issue bedevils providers in adult social care, too.
Another example of routine discrimination. The social model of disability at work.
Somehow, practical safety precautions for disabled people have been omitted from housing plans. Strange, isn’t it!?
